Just recently, Singaporean born Rachel Low turned 60 and she celebrated this milestone by taking out Australian citizenship. She said that she had spent a long time in Australia and her children were born in the country and it was time to tie the notch.

But as she said the transition was never easy, particularly when it came to the seasons that changed so rapidly, compared to Singapore where the weather stays more or less the same throughout the year.

Rachel remembers those times but has decided to make Australia her permanent home and now dedicates her free time to assist other new migrants to adapt to their new surroundings in Canberra.

Migration to Australia is both a dream and a reality for migrants. For those whose dreams have reached reality there have been many stumbling blocks to ensure acceptance as immigrants into Australia. One of the most important ones is ensuring that all documents have been fastidiously translated into English by an approved migration translation service which ensures that documents are not misunderstood.

If there are any misunderstandings by migration officials of the required visa document translations such as birth certificates and marriage certificates there might not only be delays in approving the appropriate visa but the required visa may even be rejected. This puts the whole migration process on hold for the applicant. Many people think that by placing their important document on line in front of an online translation program, it will come out with an immaculate translation which no one can fault.

This is far from the truth and it has been proven time and time again that you really need a real human translator to transform your documents into something that really works and can be really understood. In fact, intending migrants to Australia have effectively no choice as they are required to use an accredited NAATI translator for all their visa document translations anyway.
